GENESYS IGNITE: A SOUTH-EAST STARTUP CONVERGENCE
GenesysIGNITE is an annual outcome that seeks to congregate startups from all parts of the south-e and due south-s region of Nigeria. Its primary objective is to discuss latest applied science trends equally they affect the region, and to suggestion professional insights to the participating startups.
The event will as well promote innovative business solutions and ideas by startups inside the region. Participating startups will be exposed to potential investors during the upshot. Graduates and undergraduates will have the opportunity to pitch their startup ideas to a panel. The top three innovative ventures will be granted a seed fund of USD10, 000.00 (ten thousand US Dollars) each.
GenesysIGNITE – Season1 volition concenter key players in the technology infinite including:
- Tech giants- Google, HP, Dell/EMC, Microsoft & IBM
- The International Community- the High german Consulate, delegates of New Economy & Startups, German Industry and Commerce and other Government Functionaries

Genesys Engineering Hub is an ideas, creativity and knowledge-based platform designed to drive innovation, productivity and economic output in Nigeria with their base in the southeastern region.
With a focus on undergraduates and early on graduates, the Hub was created to serve the following purposes:
A Centre of learning and innovation in the area of digital design
The nucleus of a community of talented individuals whose innovations will fuel a engineering revolution; thereby changing the manner business is done in Nigeria, and opening up a whole new sector of the economy to the kind of growth that will have far-reaching touch on the Economic system of Enugu
An enabling environment for startups in the tech industry, to expand their horizons and gain admission to markets and resource that would otherwise exist out of their reach.
In the past 3 years, Genesys has been building capacity for training immature tech enthusiasts in the southeast, equally well as supporting young entrepreneurs with tech based business ideas. In this regard, they have graduated over 150 young tech enthusiasts and incubated over viii startups in Enugu.
Their recent activities have gained a lot of attending, as Genesys Tech Hub was shortlisted by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment as a possible recipient of US$1million grant to support Techpreneurs, under the Earth Bank sponsored Growth and Employment (GEM) Project. They also recently visited Berlin to initiate strategic collaborations with successful Tech Hubs in Frg.
Furthermore, they are convinced that Enugu state is positioned and has the key ingredients (cosmopolitan nature, large number of tertiary institutions, huge population of youths, access to private capital, etc.) to build a viable Tech Ecosystem, similar to the Silicon Valley of the United states of america.
Their ultimate objective is to build a sustainable and effective model that would exponentially bulldoze economic productivity in the region and Nigeria as a whole; through youth evolution.
