A protester arrested by plainclothes San Diego constabulary officers and thrown into in an unmarked van last twelvemonth filed a federal lawsuit this calendar week, alleging false arrest, excessive strength and ceremonious rights violations.
Shayla Piccini, the woman who had been arrested, and her cousins, Jaycie Matthews and Brandi Matthews, sued the city, Main David Nisleit and the unidentified officers in U.Southward. District Courtroom in San Diego on Tuesday. Other allegations in the lawsuit include battery, negligence and a failure to properly train the officers.

Jaycie Matthews recorded the June 2020 abort on a cellphone and posted it to Twitter. Some officers in the video wore blackness vests emblazoned with "Police." Some San Diego SWAT officers were in armed services-style uniforms.
